It also sounds like there is a faint constant clicking noise coming from around the sd card reader that I have never noticed before. The MacBook Pro 'Core 2 Duo' 2.4 13-Inch (Mid-2010) features a 45 nm 'Penryn' 2.4 GHz Intel 'Core 2 Duo' processor (P8600), with two independent processor 'cores' on a single silicon chip, a 3 MB shared 'on chip' level 2 cache, a 1066 MHz frontside bus, 4 GB of 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (PC3-8500) installed in pairs (two 2 GB modules), a 250 GB Serial ATA (5400 RPM) hard drive, an 8X DL 'SuperDrive', a NVIDIA GeForce 320M 'graphics processor with 256 MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory. If I turn it off and try to reboot with a sd card inserted it boots fine, but I am still unable to write to any sd cards. My new Kingston SD card isn't working on my MBP 13' Card reader, it works very rare, i don't know what is the problem of my reader, it works fine on my sony. I thought a reboot may fix it, but after trying that without a sd card inserted I can’t get past the grey boot screen. A-Tech for Apple 4GB Kit (2X 2GB) DDR3 1067MHz / 1066MHz PC3-8500 SODIMM Memory RAM Upgrade for MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Mini - (Late 2008, Early 2009, Mid 2009, Late 2009, Mid 2010) Models 4. I figured it was the same issue as before, but the internal switch is in the correct position as well as the one on the sd card. So I was able to flip that with a paper clip and everything started working again for the past couple of weeks.įast forward to today and I had the same issue not being able to write to any sd cards.
After some googling I found out there is actually a switch inside the sd card reader, and that had gotten stuck. I know the switch on the sd cards for enabling/disabling writing, and that was not the issue. A few weeks ago every sd card I inserted I could only read from, but not write to.
2010 MACBOOK SD CARD INSTALL
What better graphics cards can I safely install in my system I can perform the upgrade myself. I do a fair bit of gaming/recording, video editing, and graphics stuff, so I need a bit more power. I am looking to update this card to something more powerful.
I’ve been having a few issues with the sd card reader on my mid 2010 MacBook Pro. I have a 2010 Macbook Pro that currently has an NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256MB graphics card.
